Handoffs lose context

When design finishes before engineering begins, product intent gets compressed into static screens. Constraints arrive late, interaction details disappear, and both disciplines spend time reconstructing decisions.

Work in one loop

Designers should understand the system being shaped. Engineers should participate while workflows are still flexible. Short shared loops make technical constraints useful design inputs rather than late-stage compromises.

The product becomes more coherent because the interface and its implementation evolve together.
